Brought up in Sydney, Founders Ji Ratnagopal & Samuel Raffaele began their journey into the men's hair industry at just 15 years old when they were each inspired by the same barber. It was simple. It was raw. But it sparked an undying passion.

Ji and Sam always think big, but stick to their roots to make sure their customers are more than a number.

Their dedication paved the way for multiple salon openings under their men's grooming brand Sonder.

However, their vision extended beyond the chair. They sought to create a haircare line that stood apart from their salons, driven by a deeper meaning of empowerment, strength and self confidence. From this, Blak was born.
